Things I think about when I'm bored

yukitsukihanaI start thinking about random things when I'm bored enough.
Like plunnies that I'll never do anything with, but are fun to mess around with.
Things like Homestuck and Detective Conan.
So yeah, I was thinking of Conan/Shinichi and his quadrants, and who would fill them.
The first and most obvious one is Ran in the flushed quadrant. I mean, come on. Can there be anyone else?
In the caliginous quadrant we have Kid. Though in the series they don't really hate each other, but they are rivals, and a perfect match intellectually. Neither of them have anyone else who can really stand up to them and make them really work.
The pale quadrant would be Ai. Why not Heiji? That'll be explained next. But the pale quadrant is all about keeping the other in check. Haibara has, throughout the series, critiqued Conan on his inability to act like a child, and has chastised him constantly about running off to chase the bad guys. He, in turn, is probably one of the few normal and non-sociopathic people she's ever met outside her own family, providing a model on how to act in public, plus he's quick to point out when she's being hypocritical about acting 'too adult.'
Now we have the ashen quadrant, which is where Heiji comes in. They don't really keep each other in check, but rather work off each other which occasionally makes situations worse, which is why he's not qualified to be a moirail. However, he does give good advice on how to deal with others, which fits the part of an auspictice. I can see him being very flexible in that, managing to fill that third leaf with any and all of Shinichi's other quadrants.
...So now that I've gotten that out, ConanStuck, anyone? ^^;

Date: 2012-08-24 02:55 am (UTC)I kind of feel like everybody is trying to be moirails with Shinichi but he tends to not really let them in and keeps doing crazy shit. But Conan<>Ai is probably the most functional pale ship out of the ones I am considering.
Also I am sorry but I'm not sure I can ship Shinichi<3<Kid, there are way too many people vying for Kid's caliginous attention in his own series without adding Conan into the equation.
